Two programs. All levels welcome.

Whether your child has never heard a word of Spanish or grew up speaking it at home, every kid has a place here. Both programs are designed and led personally by Martha.

After-school Spanish

Three levels for K–8th grade, taught right at your kid’s school. Small groups, native instructors, songs and games and real conversation. 8 partner schools across San Diego.

Spanish Through Art

Three weeks in July at Old Town Academy. Each week themed around a famous artist — Picasso, Klimt, Rousseau. Painting, theater, music, science, outdoor play. Ages 5–13, all levels.

After-school · by grade level

Three levels. One adventure.

K–2nd grade

Spanish 1 · Early Elementary

Foundation in fun. Songs, games, stories, real conversation. Kids pick up sounds and phrases before they pick up grammar — the way all of us first learned a language.

3rd–5th grade

Spanish 2 · Elementary

Expanding horizons. Students build on what they already know, moving from single words into full conversations, short stories, and simple writing — still through play.

6th–8th grade

Spanish Middle School

Deep dive into Spanish. Grammar, vocabulary, and conversation refined to prepare kids for high school Spanish — with the same Martha approach: adapt to the kid in front of you.

Summer Camp 2026

Spanish Through Art

For over 20 years, World Voices San Diego has offered a one-of-a-kind summer camp experience — with more than 80% of families returning year after year.

Our camp combines art and Spanish in a fun, immersive environment. Your child will explore world-famous artists, create their own artwork, and build language skills — all while having fun with games, music, challenges, and activities.

All classes are taught by native Spanish-speaking instructors. All Spanish levels are welcome — beginners and advanced speakers alike will feel at home.

Ages: 5 to 13
Hours: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 2:30 PM

Week 1 — July 6–10

Picasso, The Guernica

"The Power of Black and White"

Cubism

Children explore Picasso's world through Guernica, black and white contrasts, and the basics of Cubism — discovering that art is a powerful way to express ideas and emotions.

Week 2 — July 13–17

Gustav Klimt

"Gold & Patterns"

Art Nouveau

Inspired by Klimt, campers explore gold tones, decorative patterns, and symbolism — experimenting with texture, repetition, and imaginative design.

Week 3 — July 20–24

Henri Rousseau 

"Into the Jungle"

Art Naif

Children explore Rousseau's imaginative world — creating vibrant artwork with bold shapes, organic lines, and layered patterns inspired by nature.
